Hi!
These are 10 effects created for my aRPG, Nyrthos (www.nyrthos.com).
Some of them are outdated, some of them are used in the game. Click on the thumbnail to see the animation.
I got really inspired by people like Clint Bellanger that throw their creations here for free, so here I come with my 2 cents! Hopefully, some of you will find these useful.
The ZIP file contains all the previews and all the effects (10) in .png layers (transparent background).

These are completely free to use in whatevere way or project you desire, be it a game, a hi-end visualisation of a camel poo, or whatever awesome you decide to create.
That being said, I‘d definitely love to see whatever you manage to do with them, so please please please, let me know if that happens!

Very nice quality and perfect for a flare mod im working on. So far I have only used the black smoke for a 'curse' type power and then it lingers on the enemies like a fog to show that they are affected. I will no doubt be using most of the other art in the package when I get around to creating all of the enemy/boss powers.

Hi! So great to see these are being used :)
Actually, these are mostly results of my early experimentations (as I had completely NO IDEA how to make spell effects).
The majority of them was created by preparing and exporting a very basic particle animation in blender, and than passing it through afterFX. Usually, due to the number of experiments, the final result was completely different. I used mostly noises/distortions to give it some variation.
In case you‘d like any advice on how to do these, just ask ;)

The screenshots don't do these justice. The light flash and lightning ball look so good they are the solar energy damage and soul sword energy effects in my game.
I've included this asset in the AnyRPG Engine. Its been featured in a YouTube livestream at https://youtu.be/t4xqkYE9YrU and you've been added to both the in-engine credits, and the credits at anyrpg.org.
Nice! Also, apparently nobody noticed the archive contains 11 gifs (2x fx8), but only 10 source folders.
