Looking for basic 2D Pixel Art
I'll start with this: I'm not looking to use this image, or these images, for a comercial game. In essence I would like something to play around with in a test game I'm making, purely for practice as a programmer/coder myself. I'd love allow this art to be used by anyone.
What I'm looking for is a 32X64 pixel art model with walking animations for 8 directions, you can be as fancy as you'd please with that, and with an idle animation for facing those directions. Think of it as a skeleton image. I have no particular style I'm looking for aside from a humanoid, preferably human and clothed. As it's not meant for anything other than testing and learning I think you should be able to go into as much detail as you'd like.
If willing I do have further "skeleton" requests, but for now I'll keep it simple. Experienced or new, I'm all right with all. I'd love to give someone looking to learn more or practice a chance to do this. I think that'd be awesome.
If you have questions you can feel free to ask. I know not everyone is willing to do free art, especially for a project that really has no practical purpose for others, but I do appriciate anyone that would take the time to help. It could very well help anyone else in a position like mine as well.
But again, if you have any questions please feel free to ask. I'm new to all of this so thank you for taking the time in any case.
Take a look around, there is plenty of art available for testing purposes.
Regards-
But none that fits the bill, if you take the time to search for "32x64". There's very little art of any kind in that size. An incentive to make some more if you ask me, but I never learned to animate...
Shenkibeto, if nobody offers, you might have to accept a compromise, like settling for only four directions. Or put in some work yourself, like using a 3D rendering program and model to snap your own animation frames. What's your project like anyway? Isometric? Top down?
That's right. 32x64 isn't a common one from what I've found.
I've started an RPG action-adventure type project within a 100 room dungeon. I've used a lot of 32x32 sprites for testing out certain things, but feel like a 32x64 would make for some good detail and look a little more unique for what it is. It's 2D, top down in the same way The Legend of Zelda is. Kind of think Binding of Isaac for the way the rooms work.
I know 8 is a lot to ask for, and since it's for testing 4 directions can work. Just looking to get animation in the game down for the 8 way movement is all as 4 way movement can at times be limiting. In the end it's all experimentation.
EDIT: The animation for walking isn't completely necessary. I'd bet that makes things easier.
