I am looking for new graphics arts and willing to pay.

Hello,
I am in need of new graphics artist as my original artist have a new job and cannot give me the time I need for the graphics. I communicate in discord and I need a new artist to continue where the previous artist last stopped. What I would like is the new artist to improve on the previous artist and make it even better. I have attached my games current graphics. I want to continue with my graphics but make it better.....make it eye pleasing like this:

If you think you can take my current graphics and rework it to make it more eye pleasing like the link I posted above we can start from there, instead.
Awaiting for your reply.

Hi, I am interested in creating assets for your projects!

Can you make sample art for my game style please and look bright and colorful like the link I posted?
Attached is a piece of concept art I did for Games For Love for their battle game.

I am sorry. You are not qualified. This is not what I am looking for.
Thanks for looking. Sorry you feel I'm "not qualified" lol. good luck finding anyone with that kind of superior attitude you so obviously feel you are entitled to. I suppose when someone is willing to "pay" they feel they are exempt from being polite. But it's all good--I have dealt with worse.
Phheew ..... good thing I didn't pick you. I avoided a disaster. I assume you would say the same thing for any company who is hiring, right? They are looking for a specific thing and asking for a specific thing because they are paying for a specific thing and they clearly showed that specific thing they are looking for and are asking if you can provide that specific thing, because they are departing from their hard earned money to get that specific thing and you persist on showing them paintings that hang on museum walls and living rooms. You couldn't bother to get out of your way to actually show a demo that you could do the specific thing, to at least give comfort to the person who is going to give his money away to you that you could do it...nope. Then you come up with that attitude above...pppppheeeww.....- wipes forehead - I am happy, super happy I did not select you. A decision I do not regret and now for sure will not retract. Now, even IF YOU managed to make a demo and it is attractive and beyond what I am looking for, thanks to your attitude I would not pick you.
A disaster that I am thankful, I avoided.
What is your budget? How much are you paying and for how much work? Does that screenshot above contain the entirety of the tileset that needs reworking or are there other tiles not shown?

Hey MedicineStorm,
The way I worked with my previous artist is like this: I depart 60 dollars from my pocket every two weeks and I place it on the table. I give my artist a list of things that need to be done. My artist every time takes the list and work on it. He deducts from the balance of 60 dollars the amount for each sprite he works on it; example, an NPC of such size and one frame cost 2 dollars. Then he does animation for walking on all sides, animation for fighting on all sides, and so on. He takes the number of animations and then he multiplies it by 2 and he gets the total amount cost for that one NPC. Let us say for example, it cost him 30 dollars. He then takes that 30 dollars and deducts from the balance of 60 dollars. He repeats the steps for other items until the balance reach zero. Then he send me zip files of what he have done and then tells me what is not done, all done through discord. He waits another two weeks until I send him another 60 dollars. If there are still any outstanding items from previous tasks, he finishes them first before moving on to the new list.
To answer your second question, that screenshot does NOT contain all the tileset been made, it is there so that you know what style of graphics I am looking for and what is my current graphics in the game. So my question is, can you take over my previous artist and make it better? I want it to be as colorful and detailed as the link (not attachment) I provided in my original post. So the attachment is my game's current graphics where it stands. The link is how detailed, beautiful and colorful I want my graphics to be. I will be using ultima 7 as a reference a lot, so part of the job is that you know the game, you are familiar with it, you have it in your hard drive so that when I say I want it such and such like ultima 7..you run the game and see what I am trying to say and implement it. Naturally, my graphics are of modern Genre, original and not stealing Ultima 7 graphics but lots of my reference will be using Ultima 7.
Ok, how about this?

That looks really, really good. hmm...it is without a doubt...detailed O_O and good. Even the grass looks good which is a major problem in my game. However, the style of graphics are completely different than mine. One question, say I already take your existing (do not need to redo them again) grass, bushes, rock, soil, road, you know....the tiles to replace mine...Can you then take the graphics that I paid lots of money from my previous artist and make it as beautiful and detailed and attractive and polished like the one you have right now? Like the wall is boring and plain and not detailed , as an example. What I could do, is show you my tiles (all of them) and with your...PROFESSIONAL skills and abilities you decide and say, "Alright, this is good the way it is," or you would say, "NO! This is not detailed enough let us make it more detailed and beautiful." If you agree and you agree with the price then you are officially hired. Of course, you may need to readjust the colors of my graphics to match correctly the entire world.
Another side note..my engine is using high resolution the zooming in by 3 to give it low resolution. So before you start...you may need to run my game .exe and see what I mean. So that for example, a fork is not eight times the size of a human, or a fork does not have the same size of a human or a fork is not bigger than a bed, or smaller than a coin, etc. So that all the sizes work correctly. Items of supposed size of 16 x 16 when run in my game they look 16 x 16 when zoomed and not look 48 x 48 and need to be rescaled to fix the problem to look again like 16 x 16. That is a problem I had with my previous artist. We need to solve this rescaling issue at the beginning. So I don't have to keep working they don't look correct sizes in the game. One of your job and it is a one time job...to test out the graphics and determine the proper scale of each size 16, 32, 48, etc in the way my game renders the graphics and they look good.
This why, it is essential you look at my tileset and then run my game and see how it renders it and play around to get an understanding when you start making graphics...that when I put it in my game it looks good right away. There is no constant rescaling or resizing, etc.
I think this request suffers from the typical lack of detail that is common to many art requests. It may seem like you're being obvious in what you want, but you're leaving out details.
If you have a larger tileset you want reworked, why haven't you already shared it here? You've referred to other tiles and an .exe then asked if I can assess them and rework them, but I have no way of giving an answer having never seen them. It's a bit like going to an auto mechanic and saying "Something is wrong with my car. Can you fix the problem? I brought one of the car's parts for you to look at. The problem is not just with this part, though. I won't let you see the rest of my car until I know you can fix the problem." If no one knows the full details of the request, no one is ever going to be able to provide what you're looking for.
Even after my earlier question, the scope of work is still not clear. I post an example of art in the same perspective (orthogonal oblique) but "more eye pleasing" yet now you say the "style of graphics are completely different". That's fine, but we're ten replies in now and it seems still no closer to understanding what you're really after.
I think this post may provide some helpful guidelines for you: https://opengameart.org/forumtopic/how-and-when-to-write-a-good-art-request
When you said to JenJen "You are not qualified. This is not what I am looking for." I could understand how she might feel that was an entitled attitude, but I gave you the benefit of the doubt and assumed your seemingly-rude phrasing was just a side-effect of a cultural or linguistic difference. However, after you doubled-down on the deprecating talk, I'm pretty sure I understand why your previous artist is no longer working with you.
The pay model you've outlined is not unreasonable, but if you expect people to continually guess at what you're after without ever actually being specific enough to satisfy your own standards, you definitely can't afford to be rude to artists just for expressing an interest in helping you out.
I must decline your offer for the commission of custom graphics, but you are welcome to use these free assets as-is: https://opengameart.org/content/denzis-16x16-oblique-tilesets

Oh! So you are not here to help me with art. You are here to fight and defend jenjen and make an ass out of me. Let me tell you something my friend, I clearly said in first post the style of the art and I wanted to know if he can make sprites. If he can make game graphics art. Instead he shows me his work of paintings and portfolios you put on wall. I asked him to give me an example of game sprite from which I can further continue and say no this is not what I want...try something different so in the end we both understand each other. Instead, he shows me another art of some painting graphics. So I told him you are not qualified he gives me attitude instead of being more civilized and ask me to clarify the matter. I assure you, I don't think Jenjen need your backing or need your help or need you to be his lawyer and I do not need someone to interfere in someone else's business. Honestly, if you are to add wood to fire...please STOP. You are now to follow JenJen in not reading the detailed request I asked for. Did I not already posted in the screenshot at the beginning of the post THE STYLE I WANT? You are too blinded to defend JenJen to see that your graphics do not MATCH my style regardless of it been obleque. Thank you for pointing out the type of graphics..but if you saw from the original post..does it look the same as what you posted? No, it doesn't. However, an excellent artist you are, you can join JenJen in the black list. I don't need your art, your service, and your attitude. Anyone else here want to defend JenJen, please do me a favor don't waste my time and yours. I need serious artist who want the job. I am not here to demean or insult anyone..my previous artist would give me an A++ for how well and civilized and human I have treated him. But in the end, he treated me with equal kindness and respect and when he said he have a new job. I said to him..my door is open you can come in anytime when you are free. Never was I rude to him. By the way, you don't need to give me the sass of declining my offer...I decline hiring you...you my friend is NOT QUALIFIED! Now deal with that! I am the one who will show you my back...not you.
Now....I pray the next person actually wants to work and provide services.
Yo gameArt, Go hit up https://www.fiverr.com/ instead of trashing all the artists here. This is a phenomenal community of artists who /give away their work for free/ and you're the one coming at everyone with a bad attitude. It's clear why your last artist doesn't want to work with you anymore. You stink of entitlement and can't even communicate any of your desires properly to get across the scope of your project. Good luck finding anyone to work with you.
Although I disagreed with gameArt's reaction, he is free to make the requests here and artists are free to choose to help him. All people should still feel welcome here even if rudeness is not.
My response above was intended to provide guidance for a more effective art resource request, though my delivery was unnecessarily terse and overly critical. For that I apologize.
