Agor - another godot open rpg, a next gen project
Right now I have 2 goals with agor - Another Godot Open Rpg - the next gen project
The first one is to build a solid and more modern alternative to the FLARE engine in godot and similar to the godot open rpg project from GDQuest with the gameplay more like flare.
Although it started with the idea to build a good campaign that is fun to play and has a better story, like the Heresy mod now, a solid story or a campaign is not the goal anymore.
I decided to build a base in godot for something more modern, that is easier to work with. Making a real game / a campaign is less important, but still part of my plan, but more like a demo campaign to test features in a real use case.
The other big thing is creating higher quality artwork, especially compared to the old flare tilesets.
Currently I work on some new props, including tents, boxes, barrels, barricades and more. Some tiles are not finished yet, I'll post updates when I have them finished.
and here the repo for the project (it doesn't have the newest content / assets here are not up to date right now), but it has a working inventory / item system and a simple dialog system now

Its looking quite charming :) . I wonder, will it be easier than Flare to build upon?. Also, use whatever you want from my stuff when needed. I think to remind you wanted to include a random loot generator, upgradable equipment and pets and many others, would be nice if you listed it your objectives and your progress somewhere.

Wot?
I tried making a flare mod in the past, maybe I didn't try it long enough. I felt the usability wasn't that great and a bit hard to understand too.
This was the main reason I tried godot then and it turned into the idea of creating something like a more modern base in godot. On the other side flare looks powerful for me too, when you learn to understand and getting used to it.
I finished the big tents, planned to upload them soon, when I have finished the medium sized props (mainly some smaller tents)

The project page is very bad, you should expand the readme. and not with what you already wrote here, since most of what is written here is about assets and not so much about the godot project (codewise).
I would recommend pointing out how your project aims to be different to open rpg.
Your right, the project page is really bad right now.
I need to think more about the goals and the direction I want to go and why.
It feels like it that it even could be a bit too early to post, even I work for several years now, including restarts and changing my mind / goals.
