Here are the tiles used in the game Dungeon Crawl Stone Soup http://crawl.develz.org/wordpress/
Package contains over 3000 tiles! This is a collaborative effort from many, many artists. The full list of artists can be found in the package crawl-tiles Oct-5-2010\utility\FilteredList.txt
All images are 2D 32x32 pixel tiles in orthogonal (overhead) three-quarters perspective.
Contains things like terrain, walls, decorative dungeon features, monsters, spell effects, items, GUI elements, player avatars, and more!
EDIT: A new supplemental set of over 3000 additional tiles is now available! Check out https://opengameart.org/content/dungeon-crawl-32x32-tiles-supplemental

Very nice submission! :)
Just a quick note: If something is public domain, you can't actually require attribution. Can you clarify that you're requesting the attribution as a courtesy?
If you'd like to require attribution, I'd recommend changing the license to CC-BY.
I just copied the attribution instructions from the source. I will make it more clear that it is a courtesy.
Awesome! We need more complete sets like this!
I love the health and mana pools.
Me too! There are 4 or 5 tiles of those fountains in the package... for some basic water effect animations.
My favorites are all the overlay tiles like hair, clothes, and equipment for custom character creation.
The Project Utumno level editor I'm using takes unified tilesets, so I've consolidated all the individual images in this package and uploaded it in case anyone else prefers tilesets over stand-alone 32x32 images.
A- I-... Spent first 10 minutes gawking. Awesome work.
So many possibilities, so little time.
This. is. awesome.
I made a free browser game using this: nowic.pl/rawdan/gag/load.html
Thanks.
@Rawdanitsu: Fun! At first I had some trouble because the quest screen button doesn't show up until I purchased a weapon, and the weapon doesn't show up in the shop until I had more than 100 gp saved up. Since the only thing that showed up in the shop at first was 1 gem for 20 gp, I kept buying gems one at a time thinking that might open up some options. However, once I got past that part, it all came together. At first I thought the blacksmith prices were a bit steep, but then the economist in me came out and I had a blast with it. I'm on the Hell tunnels now and I can't wait to see what happens next. Nice job!
Awesome. Really. One clarification, as it is made by different artists, everytile can be used freely even in a commercial project?Of course with proper attribution!
I'd like to be sure before using such a masterpiece. ^^
@Kaemalux: Every tile can be used freely, even in a commercial project, even WITHOUT proper attribution. You can give attribution, but it is voluntary. (Still recommended, though)
ALL artists involved have released these resources under CC0: free-freaking-free. :D
Where in the projects webpage it says these can be used freely?
@jonilaht: In the second sentence of https://code.google.com/p/crawl-tiles/, where it says "...returning these tiles to a license similar to "public domain", CC Zero (http://creativecommons.org/publicdomain/zero/1.0/)."
Oh, ok. I was just checking the Wordpress site.
THese are thoroughly baddass. Thank you very much!
This is amazing, thank you so much.
Thank you very much, your work is amazing and I enjoy it very much!
Thank you very much for sharing this awesome tileset! I am just a beginner in programming games and it was very helpful for my first game ("The mistery of the bleeding fountains"), as I am not yet able to draw my own sprites. I appreciate the great care you took with every detail.
weird and funny stuff =)
Thank you, thank you, thank you!
Epic! Thanks :)
i use it in my game
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.xBarba.Click4Fun
tks
This sheet is amazing - I can get so many ideas just from looking at it!
Thank you so much for it!
Phenominal.
I looooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooove it!!!
I can't thank you enough on your efforts thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I think this set is awesome! I'm new to making games, but if I actually use these, I'll be sure to donate to the site just because of this pack.
love this
Hi and thank you for these awesome tiled work,
i'm using them in a CRPG i recently started, check my Patreon account.
If you like these, you'll love the latest supplemental set. TWICE as much of the same kind of awesome! https://opengameart.org/content/dungeon-crawl-32x32-tiles-supplemental
Oh my god :)
when i thought i was done work with this huge tileset, it became gargantuan and TWICE more awesome =)
this is a tileset for a lifetime... thank you for this exquisite piece of work
This is awesome! Thank you!!
I know this is CC0 but i could not just use the most awesome resource pack without some kind of attribution or information. I've made a (very early) demo of my game on Youtube that it also lists this wonderful resource on attribution.
Thank very much!!
I love the old might and magic games. Looking forward to playing The Darkness Below. :)
Love it 2, denzi has its own great style (making a game of it - like we all do ).
Thanx medicine Storm - however everything can be improved and I found some better chests from denzi as a tribute..
Where did you find them? I'll add them as soon as I verify the license! :)
the original file is named 32x32_items_Denzi090723-1.PNG on his blog pages
Ah, in that case, they're already available here on OGA, just not on this submission. This is not "all things Denzi", this is just the tileset used in Dungeon Crawl Stone Soup. Or, more specifically, the tiles used as of October 2010.
Those items you posted above can be found in the "Denzi's 32x32 Orthogonal tileset" submission: https://opengameart.org/content/denzis-32x32-orthogonal-tilesets (note they are licensed CC-BY-SA whereas this Dungeon Crawl Stone Soup set is licensed CC0, so I wouldn't be able to incorporate them together.)
There are actually about 14 different submissions here containing denzi's work, all of which are quite large. Be sure to check them out: https://opengameart.org/content/denzis-artwork
I just used these tiles in a videogame-inspired art piece. Thank you so much for making them available.
Mind blown!
It's all great.
Thank you very much for this tileset.
I am using it in Lootbox RPG, my nice little Dungeon Crawler available for iOS and Android.
kind regards
Mario
