Well these are... I relatively often... probably? tend to challenge myself a little and put some relatively odd limits on sizes or colors for tilesets or sprites, just to forget about them later, I remembered this one due to accidentally stumbling upon Min's 8x8 Rogue-Like Chars which reminded me of the style of the charas I made for my own little personal challenge, I actually made a different character type at first however (along simple animations) but scrapped it for the other one due to being far less expressive, in the end it was still not that expressive but 2nd type was just easier/faster to draw and give a personal style, still included character type 1 here, so enjoy I guess?

Nice set!
I like your palette, the colors are pretty coherent, although I found those characters to be hardly distinguishable from the grass tiles :
I also thought that it would be nice to have grass-water connexion tiles ; it would be easier to draw rivers or islands, but it's just a detail :
Finally, I didn't really understand what those tiles were meant to be used for :
Maybe you could make an example scene to show people what kind of maps your tileset can do. And don't hesitate to zoom on it (before I saw the actual file, I was a bit sceptical, on what this tileset could offer).
Great work, don't stop improving!
Thanks, about the palette, I most of the time use pre existing palettes, I can't remember which one I used for this one though... It's probably A64 but I'm uncertain, human memory is unreliable...
Added an extra preview with those tiles, they were meant for dungeon interiors, and the sword and staff thingies were meant for shop interiors, also noticed I forgot to add 4 tiles for dungeon interiors... attached them to this
About those sprites, honestly I didn't notice that they would be hard to distinguish back when I was drawing them, actually found out some others are also harder to distinguish on other floor tiles, I don't think I'll make any more additions or modifications for now however since this is honestly a kinda old piece and I'm currently making something a little different, at least not for now, I might feel like it later though
