Just starting to mess around with making music, forgive my lack of skill. Free to use for anybody who might find it useful.
This is for my game, Star Shift Alpha.

Hell yeah glad you all like it! Not enough free stuff out there, so enjoy!
Nice track~ Thanks!!
Glad you all like it..Come back for more as time goes on! Want to get a lot of shit out there for people to use in their own productions!!!
Very nice.
I played some of your game. Nice music and story so far. Was it developed in gamemaker by any chance?
It was done with RPG Maker VX...But I was able to port it to the newest engine RPG Maker MV (higher resolution)...But the default characters for RPG Maker I really hate...The chibi style characters...So I generated my characters here:
http://www.geocities.jp/kurororo4/looseleaf/
The thing I really like about RPG maker is that you don't need to know any coding at all and it's easy to figure out...But they have a plugin engine...So you can code if you want to...
Some examples of this include the battle system or a script that allows you to swap parties with a whole other party (for characters in the game)..That's how I was able to pull of where you get into your spaceship and you fly as the ship..The ship is just "A character" that I swap with when I walk out the air-lock door...So ships have their own inventory and all that.
Without the party swap plugin...I would have had to program every instance of what might happen when you walk out the airlock door..But instead it's just one line now for "Swap Party"...Just some examples.
So I like that to get started you don't need to know shit, and then when you get more detailed you can plug it in...That's the way to develop in my view! Now they just need to do it for more 3d games as well.
I also prefer 2d because I can make the stuff myself in photoshop or any other graphics editing software.
Interesting. I'm using gamemaker for my current project, which also doesn't need much coding but can also allow a lot of coding. This gives a nice broad scope to what is doable, meaning that you can do almost anything you want with enough skill/experience while still being welcoming to new programmers.
Another good game design engine is unity, which I haven't really used but have heard good things about.
Your game looks nice though, and if RPGmaker gives you the freedom you need, then there's no reason to stop using it.
Here's a link to a demo of my current project.

I tried to play your game but it crashed up on me...When I first loaded the game, I got this error:
ERROR in
action number 1
of Other Event: Game Start
for object obj_manager:
Sound does not exist.
But I was able to skip past it..Then when I selected new game...It was looking like it was rapidly constructing a map...Then it went to next map..and rapidly constructed it...then the next map...and rapidly constructed it..and then it crashed.
RPG Maker is great as long as you want to make an RPG...Not so good at making other genre's of games.
Thanks for the bug report. I know what causes this. I must have packaged the zip file improperly.
As for the map thing... yeah it's making a rng dungeon. About the crash: did it show any error message? If not, then your computer may have run out of ram or something, idk. Try setting dungeon size to 1 (it did ask for a dungeon size, right?). Also, if it crashed after saying "dungeon generation complete" then it may be a more serious glitch. Also, you're using windows, right?
