I discovered there were no runcycles. So I tried to do something about that. Then I realised there were no diagonal walkcycles either so I tried to fix that... and finally I ended up with the responsibility to make diagonal runcycles as well... That part didn't work out to well...
I might get back to refining these, but I've been staring a little blind on them. It should be useful already in it's current state.
Included are the original kra files with animation, png spritesheets and ora files with the arms and heads separated for easier editing.

Amazing! this is much needed! though, it would take some time for the other LPC stuff to match your cycles.
True, but I think having the base animations out there will help, the animation itself is often the biggest hurdle to people starting out with pixel art.
Gonna make some hairdos and clothes myself, of course ;)
Anyway, thanks! Hopefully people will make cool stuff with it!
This is fantastic! Thank you!!!
Supporting the diagonals will be too much for me, but I'll be using the run animations in my LPC character creator to start with, then in my Last Score project. I've also used the diagonal heads for an idle animation. Great job!
:heads off to refine stuff / make new skin tones and clothes:
do any of the other assetts fit these?
I forgot about this... bookmarking.
The current run I'm using is a combination of these run animations and ElizaWy's versions, though I think ElizaWy took inspiration from these run animations to begin with. Diagonals, however, are currently not a thing being used anywhere. I'm considering how potentially we could start to actually enable this. One option is in the ULPC, perhaps I can create an alternate body sheet containing just diagonals. That might make things cleaner instead of just trying to drop diagonals onto the same sheet.
The Foreman really wanted support for diagonals, but there's so few diagonal base animations. Still, having walk/run diagonals could be a useful starting point.
