This is a great set. Very nice work.
My first comment! Thanks a lot, Antum! :D
Amazing!
good job ideal for a retro pixel graphic adventure
Very nice work. I love pixel art!
I am a little confused about the license; do the personal terms on your Patreon page need to be followed? Or is it just a non-legally binding request? You said to pick from the licenses available and "only artist attribution is required", so I would assume the non-commercial part as mentioned on Patreon is not really binding. I thought I should ask to be sure, as the purpose of this site is to share art that can be used in commercial and/or open source games, which may want to repackage the assets for commercial gain.
crecs is right: the 'non-commercial' and 'no repackaging' stipulations are unenforcable, and- in fact- forbidden by the licenses you've chosen. Those are fine for your extended packs only available to paying customers or paterons, but they can't be applied to the assets you've shared here on OGA.
Would you be willing to remove the link to those extra stipulations or alter those stipulations?
I actually am aware they my terms are unenforceable (except specifying how I'm to be credited - this IS enforceable, right?). The words are meant as a deterrant. Would it be acceptable if I stated as such in my link?
I definitely did not mean to suggest they can't be used 100% for free in any game or art project. My ONLY intent was to deter people from simply taking the assets, recoloring them, and selling them on the Unity assets store or something, i.e. ending up on a NON free version of this site. In other words I do not want people paying to use these - THAT is what I want to avoid. I have removed that line for now since it was not clear, but is it actually forbidden to even ask people to not recolor your pixels and put them on a commercial assets store? Is that something protected by these licenses?
Pretty much, yeah. I mean, asking someone not to recolor and resell is probably fine, but the CC-BY-* licenses do say "No additional restrictions - You may not apply legal terms or technological measures that legally restrict others from doing anything the license permits" which would include adding stipulations that restrict others from redistributing the assets or even selling them.
In this case it is important to make it clear such a request is not mandatory. The good news is, since these licenses require attribution, anyone seeking to sell your assets would neccessarily have to credit you as well as link to either this page or your main site, both of which offer your assets for free. Any potential customers of such a person would visit the link and simply download the assets for free instead.
P.S. Yes, specifying how you want to be credited is definitely enforcable. As long as you're not saying stuff like "you can credit me by sending me money" or "I require attribution in the form of you not reselling my assets". But requiring a specific name, phrase, and url is well within your rights to require.
Thanks a lot (again) Medicine, that really makes me less worried about it. I've changed the attribution stuff. :D
Very nice! :)
Hello, I have used your asset in my game. added your name to the credits. If you don't want me to use your resources, I can delete the assets. (Sorry for the translation)

This is quite the collection you have here, I love it!
I was wondering if I could use these for a comic I am working on?
