Red ovenbird (Furnarius rufus) assets
Here are four images related to the Red ovenbird (Furnarius rufus), a South American bird locally known as the Hornero or João-de-barro. Included are the profile view of a skull, down and flight feathers, and the iconic mud nest this species builds. All files were painted in Krita.
This pack was created as a part of the OpenTaxa project, which aims to create freely licensed, accurate graphical assets depicting species for use in science communication, games, cultural projects etc.
For more information and a list of currently covered species, or if you wish to collaborate, see our wiki at https://opentaxa.miraheze.org
All included images have sides of either 256 or 512 pixels. The down feather was downscaled a bit after painting, but the original sourcefile is included.
.kra source files and .png images with transparent backgrounds are included for all files.
Freely licensed images were referenced for painting, and are credited and linked in the readme.
Considering a consistent brushstroke size and the possible downscaling of these images for use as icons, some details were not painted in the skull. Its shapes and included details should still be anatomically accurate.
EDIT: Reuploaded shortly after initial release to improve crediting in the readme.
