Game Competition collab??
Hi guys. My name is Scott Mitchell. I am a indie games developer.
There is a competition going on for indie developers. And I need artist/s.
I am a programmer, And somewhat a artsit. Im good for general scenery and interfacing. Allthough everything can be improved!!!!!
Game Info:
The game is built with HTML5, a cross platform language, Meaning it will be published everywhere!!!
- Ipad
- Iphone
- Ipod touch
- A .exe version to download(On Official Site)
- Android devices
- Facebook.
All these platforms means more income!!
The artist/s will have as much input if not more on game design as I, If you can suggest a nice feature then 95% of the time i can programme it. Im pretty good.
The competition has a closing date so hopefully things will be quite speedy. Most of the games programming has allready been done. Just needs some decent art.
you gave as much right to design levels as you please. Or randomly contribute to the game.
All Profits will be split evenly between the team.
I am looking for anyone willing to join the team. No matter how good of a artist you are/not. General game designers are welcomed to.
A Little About the game
The game its self is some what a platformer, The difficulty of it can be related to super meat boy. Although there is a option for checkpoints {Easy difficulty}.
One rule of the competition is that the game has to incorporate rotation somehow, So this is something i have programmed. At certain stages of the level the screen will be rotated meaning the player has to rethink strategy.
The game uses realistic physics (Box2D) and nice controlls.
The player moves around normally, Keyboard.
There is a sprint key, Meaning player will jump further if the sprint key is down.
the player can also wall jump.
Im currently implementing things like ropes that you can grab on.
If you are willing to join my community :) then you will be able to see v1.1 of the game immediately.
Its unlikely i will remember to check this thread so oif your interested please send me a email at: s.mitchell94@hotmail.co.uk
I hope some people will be interested on this project.
Thanks for looking.
Could you give more details as to what you need? Things like resolution and style? That would be very helpful.
The resoltuin would vary. Allthgouh allot of resizing would be done programtically.
The style is not yet decided. The artist would have more controll over that than me.
OK, so if you're handling things that way you're probably after vector graphics which can handle that sort of thing, as opposed to raster (say, rendered 3D or pixel art). That is important info to include so you can get the right people interested.
