Looking for community/social media maven for MiniScript/Mini Micro
Mini Micro is a free game development environment, based on modern, FOSS scripting language MiniScript. I'm the creator of both, and also an occasional user and contributor of art here on OGA.
We have a fairly active community, mostly centered around Discord, but we also have forums, dev.to bloggers, Mastodon and Twitter accounts, occasional YouTube and Twitch streaming or videos, a subreddit, our own RSS feed, etc. It's too scattered, and too much for me to keep up with.
I'm looking for someone to (1) weave all those different threads together, by making short posts on each that point out interesting goings-on in the others; and (2) help drive community growth by providing encouragement to creators, watching for relevant threads on other forums/channels, and so on. And I'm willing to pay for your time.
You do not need to know MiniScript or Mini Micro to get this job. You'll need to learn them, but they are easy and fun. What you do need to know is how to write decently (complete sentences with correct spelling and capitalization), and how to present a friendly, supportive face to the world that makes people want to be a part of your community.
(I hope this isn't considered too off-topic... my thinking is, Mini Micro is a free gamedev environment, and I've been a member here a long time, and maybe among the artists and creators here is somebody who would like to be an important part of this great creator community we're building.)
So! If you think you could help me out, please message me and tell me about yourself. I look forward to hearing from you!
Thanks,
- Joe
