With contest submissions, do I retain the copyright to my submission?
You license your submission to LPC under a free license, which grants rights over your submission to others.
You keep ownership over your work.
Are you asking about submitting art or game software?
You retain copyright, as with all submissions to OpenGameArt.
(The obvious exception being if you specifically release your content to the Public Domain)
