VGM - SNES/NES
Hello there. (Think this is the right thread)
Been working on a fourth year project composing music for SNES/NES games (It's apparently a great creative constraint, and the lecturers love that stuff). So I'm here now posting this, making it aware that...
If you want some music in this style, or similar, that fits your game (RPG mainly), then feel free to send a message. I have just finished my final year and I'm looking for something to focus on. Particularly having the context of a story or you know, a game, to write for would be great.
Here's a link to my soundcloud playlist.

PS: There's a couple CT reduxes in there. See if you can recognise them!

Your music sounds great!! It reminds me a lot of Final Fantasy Mystic Quest in particular, judging from the first few songs.
Well, maybe more like Final Fantasy V, tbh. I always forget that title exists ;P (it didn't come out in europe)
Ah! Thank you for the kind words. :) I have a jazz/progressive background as well, that might be why, haha. Funnily enough, I never played FF5, but the music I've heard is amazing.
I had a little listen to your "chipchurch" track. Loved it, very calm.
Yeah that is similar to what they say about Nobuo Uematsu ;) FF5 only came out in Japan so many people haven't played it, even though there are translation hacks out there now.
Which one of the chipchurch tracks did you listen to? The "old one", or "ABBEYence"?
:O I see. I know of I think Battle on the Big Bridge? Something like that. Heard an OCremix of it years ago.
It was the aptly named ABBEYence, yeah, haha. Just screams Castlevania.
Battle of the Big Bridge, yeah that's a great song from FFV alright ^^
Ah, I see, I'm glad you like it!
I'm not very familiar with most of the castlevania games, the only ones I've really played are the first one. and Super Castlevania IV, still, they have great music so I guess it's not bad to be compared to those. :D
