Space Merc Redux: Giant Jungle Environment
The parallax backgrounds repeat in both directions. They are numbered 1 to 4 from front to back. Their coordinate origin is at the top left. Their scroll rates (front to back) are 0.75, 0.5, 0.25, 0.125.
Needs some giant vines and roots, but I'm not inspired to do those right now.

Awesome!
I should add this: for most of the art pieces here it ought to be pretty easy and unambiguous to identify the source of the base asset, as I've only made palette and fine detail changes here. If the source is CC0, then the version here can be considered OGA-BY 3.0. That makes most of it OGA-BY - but a few things e.g. the lush grass and the big vines are CC-BY, so the submission's headline license has to be CC-BY.
These are awesome! They remind me a lot of Contra.
Amazing job!
*notes Knighted by Surt* Well deserved!
This is beautiful. If i may i would like to suggest breaking up the tilesheet a bit. It's a bit messy.
@Nekohime It's been a good few years now since the last time I used a tile editor, and I can't get Tiled to work on my machine - otherwise there would be example maps with this submission, not just a handful of mockups! So I'm only guessing when it comes to how to format things for maximum usability.
If you can make a rearranged version which you think is better, and post it in the comments, then I'll add it to the submission.
This is incredible!
I love your work!
First, this is genuinely one of the highest quality submissions on OGA. It remixes a lot of stuff but in an extremely coherent, additive, and artful fashion. The whole thing is just dripping with style. Outstanding work.
Second, I wanted to clarify the credits for the marked objects (see attachment); I've looked thru the linked submissions but wasn't able to find everything. Here's what I've got so far:
Can you also let me know which, if any, of the above are NOT OGA-BY?
Thanks again for this stellar contribution!
Edit: forgot to attach image showing which pieces I'm talking about...
Thanks bluecarrot16!
The license given here is for the originals. It turns out they're all CC0. You can consider my modified version to be CC0 as well (even though here the whole set had to be in a CC-BY sub).
1, 2, 3, 4, 7: These are all based on Glitch assets. Licenses are all CC0 (these are all from "groddle")
5: These are based on some work by surt (Fantasy Tiles: CC0), but there is also one mushroom tile in there (just to the left of the '5'), which is from the original SunnyLand by ansimuz (also CC0).
6, 8 and 9: These are based on work from ansimuz. Licenses are all CC0 (two are from SunnyLand Woods, one from Bridge Expansion - you got these correct)
Here are the original source images (in order from 1 to 9):
Okay, I think that's everything. I'm glad you liked it!
Thanks for the thorough explanation! And the great asset pack!
