This is the second installment of a set of magic icons.
The first installment is here.
The third installment is here.
The fourth installment is here.
Each spell comes in three power levels. Additionally most spells have several (up to nine) color variations. The colors were chosen for their distinctness, and to support and wide range of possible classes of magic and or damage types. For instance the red version of the "enchant weapon" spell could be used to add fire damage to weapons. Game designers can figure out how to best apply these art assets to their system.
- Beam of Light: 9 colors
- Haste: 3 colors
- Ice Shards: 3 colors
- Lightning: 9 colors
- Hurl Rock: 5 colors
- Entangling Vines: 4 colors
All icons are 256x256, but have been designed to be easily recognizable down to 32x32.
Part 3 is planned to be:
- Runes
- Explosion
- Wind
- Horror
- Beast
- Frames for each color
After part 3 I will be available for commissioning to further extend or expand the set.

There is now a large variety of skill/spell icons on OGA. And they all are very beautiful !
Great work !
/me happy, thunder, ice shard and boulders are here now !!
wow, terrific icons :D They really make me wanna speed up development to use them! I love how you give three levels to each spells, very useful!
These icons are just wonderful! Thank you!
Simply incredible! These icons are great!
What software(s) do you use for these icons?
Photoshop 4
Awsome
Any chance you could do a wind and water icon?
Wind will be in part 3.
I was thinking of the ice shards as being weaponized water, but no there's no liquid water planned for part 3.
Masterful. I'm pretty sure these icons will encourage me to upgrade my entire Flare spell system.
Completed the Frames. 10 different shapes (including plain) in three colors each, or all 10 colors for the plain frame.
EDIT: today completed the Runes
I mean that this icons are bad. When you look at these icons, you have to look carefully to determine what level of skill

XAYS:
The beam of light is certainly not my best. Some of the color variations are more clear than others.
You could always put a little number at the bottom right showing the current level...no need to diss other's people work
Just to let you know, I'm using some of your icons in my Glest mod: http://www.moddb.com/mods/project-green/images/starting-out-magic (properly credited, of course).
Thanks. It's still fun for me to see my work show up in real games.

Didn't expect a space game to rip these off.
wow. great!!
Fantastic, this is perfect for my work. Thanks, you are a great artist, insert your name in the credits will be an honor for me.
Greats!
Hello Eeleazzaar, I do not speak English, I only speak Spanish and this is a translation, I made a game with commercial purpose using material from this site and do not understand about licenses, for example use your images, but I made some changes, I would like to me orientaras with information or telling me I have to do, thank you very much.
Awsome!!
