Sharm's Tiny 16 is one of my all time favorite OGA works.

So for this week's art challenge, Share The Love, I thought I'd have a go at adding the few extra pieces I envision would be needed to make a full game out of the set. Namely, some weapons and a few extra animation frames.
Unfortunately, free time was even scarcier than normal this week, so I only managed to get extra frames ready for the male character along with some very basic weapons.
The extra frames are a left and right hand 'strike' pose and a 'hit react' pose.
Was really hoping to get to the female character, maybe even add some color variants and some weapons and hit react poses for the enemies.
Still, posting what I did manage to get done, maybe some day I'll get back to it or another (more talented) artist will complete the idea. Sharm's set really is an amazing work, hopefully I haven't butchered it too badly here.
Update 1:
Added Nudes by Evert.
Update 2:
Added sprites for female player.
Update 3:
Added Skeleton by Evert and bone by me.

Great sprites. Thanks for sharing.
Hopefully one will. For now, I've done the base sprite. It's not too hard to make the changes to the base sprites, but it has to be done by hand so it's tedious. I may go back and do the female sprite later.
I actually have some colour-swapped versions of the base sprites lying around as well, I'll provide those too.
Very cool! He has a punch like Alex the Kidd. Great job. :)
@Evert: Awesome! I've gone ahead and added those to the submission and added you as a collaborator.
One note, for the 'Down' poses, I slid the eye over 1 pixel so that it would not get obscured when holding a sword. Including your original nude and copy with the eye slid over so folks can use whichever they prefer.
@chasergaming: You're right! I didn't even notice that until now. Really the 'Strike' poses are just twiddles of the walk poses. For the horizontal poses I was able to shift the feet a bit to put some more motion into, but had less luck with the Up/Down poses.
I should add that if the preview doesn't make it clear, the idea with the weapons is they're smaller when he's just holding them and then they 'grow' a little when he uses them.
Hey, I'm super glad you're still active.
I couldn't find many artists who I could reach out to and say thanks.
I used a lot of your assets in my game: github.com/thekakester/brandonshavedyesterday
Myself and Brandon really appreciate everything you've done.
@kakestet: To be clear, this is 99.99% Sharm's work, all I've done here is mucked around a little to create a few extra poses for the sprites. Sharm is still active on OGA though, you can send her a thanks via OGA messaging at http://opengameart.org/users/sharm. I'm sure she'd love to hear about your project, certainly looks like it makes good use of her stuff!
Oh, cool! These poses were needed. *favorites*
@Sharm: ok, now I'm the one that's flattered! Knowing you were watching, I just couldn't leave this work undone, so I stole some away some time today to do the female character. She was a little tricker than the male on account of the dress and hair, which are not quite as regular and symmetric as the boys hair and outfit. But I like the results better, she has great personality!
That's fantastic!
Since we have the boy and the girl, I decided to go ahead and do the skeleton too. It probably doesn't make much sense to let him punch (at least not without a skeletal fist), but he should be able to use the sword normally.
Awesome! He looks so cute! In the fiercest possible way!
I've added him to the submission proper and given him a bone to throw and little boney fist for oophing you with.
Oh yes, very much appreciated work. I think this might reignite my passion for the tiny tileset :D
I love these!
Added these to favorites ;)
BTW, for the preview images enlarge them in future by a few hundred percent so they are easier to see :)
I love the skeleton character Evert did. I simplified the colours and added animations for rolling and falling into water which I used in a game I made called "Key Runner" https://mdkieran.itch.io/key-runner
thanks!
