UPDATE: I noticed a critical flaw in the EKG animations -- one frame was out of sync position-wise. I also discovered a couple of minor mistakes. I have since corrected these errors and reissued the pack. I apologize for the inconvienence. (Original download count before corrections: 10).

Note: I corrected this entry to have the "Missing Link" challenge tag on it, as I believe that a unique HUD is also a missing link to making a game that stands out in the crowd.

Some time ago, I was working on an FPS/RPG project and I had envisioned a compact hud that, instead of the character's face portrait, it showed your health bar, your power/mana bar, and an animated EKG which would animate faster or slower and change colors depending on what status your character was inflicted with. The idea for this type of HUD was inspired by the old Dos game Blake Stone, as it used an EKG animation instead of a health bar.

While that project never saw the light of day, I discovered the mockup I had done for the HUD and decided to finally finish it and release it on OGA so that, like all my other art here, someone would find a use for it.

The pack features the HUD Background, health bar sheet, the mana bar sheet, and EKG animation sheets in several different colors, including a crimson "death" one. Also, as a bonus, are the Sinus Rythmn and blank EKG Background images for you to remix and transform to your heart's content. The HUD Background is also set up so that you don't have to use the EKG. You can either add a portrait, world map, or any other customization you see fit.
