Installation
On Linux save as:
/home/[USERNAME]/.gimp-2.x/plug-ins/scalepx.py
example: /home/vk/.gimp-2.8/plug-ins/scalepx.py
On Windows save as:
C:\Documents and Settings\[USERNAME]\.gimp-2.x\plug-ins\scalepx.py (XP)
C:\Users\[USERNAME]\.gimp-2.x\plug-ins\scalepx.py (Vista, 7 and 8)
example: C:\Documents and Settings\vk\.gimp-2.8\plug-ins\scalepx.py
example: C:\Users\vk\.gimp-2.8\plug-ins\scalepx.py
Replace [USERNAME] with your username (e.g. vk)
Replace 2.x in .gimp-2.x with the GIMP version installed on your system (e.g. .gimp-2.8 if you have GIMP 2.8).
Location in GIMP
Filters → Enhance → Scale Pixelart...

Edit: ok a small installation guide would have been nice. needs to be in the plug-in directory, remove the .txt and (under linux) make it excecutable.
It will show up under filter/enhance.

Thank you! Our project uses the scale2x filter frequenly & I see this supports it. I am going to try this out to see what else it can do. :)
Edit: WOW! This GIMP plugin is A LOT faster than the scale2x plugin with the same result! would it be possible to make it work with "Filters -> Repeat/Re-show"?
