Patterns and Cursors II
When it comes to game design, the most often-overlooked aspects are the humble backgrounds and cursors -- especially in those Match-3 or other casual games that dominate today's Android and iPhone game galleries. Most often, they are either the overused wood or grid-type textures, and little thought is put into making them better. The same goes for JRPG GUIs, which default to the scan-line solid or gradient color backgrounds.
So, for the Missing Link Challenge, I offer these unique patterns and cursors, each hand-made. There are over 30 images, in both png and bmp format, ready to spice up your next Match-3 Game or RPG GUI, and if used right, could even possibly be applied to 3-D models as textures. There are also 15 cursors, 3 with variants, for you to replace the old and boring hand or bland arrow with something that will match your game's theme.
Created using Pixel Toolbox 1.1 and Adobe Photoshop 6.0.
