Hi, thanks for such a detailed comment. I appreciate it.
The reason I am doing this project is because the teacher thought that the best way for me to learn, would be to form all of our learning into a video game which could be played by the other students.
We hadn't really put any details into what "good art" means, but pixel art would be awesome (if your interested). By me saying "able to make frames" I had meant to follow up the "Good Art" so I could get animations into the game.
The stuff I wanted the "artist" to do, was to get me a few character sprites with frames to accompany it, so I could put it into the game. We already have an artist on our team, but even he agreed that we will need some help, as all of us are still in Middle School, and we aren't really good at making art on a computer.
Currently, the game is just for our school, but if the Principal and Super-intendent allows us, we can make it a big open source game for all schools and colleges.
The reason I couldn't put in any images at the time was because we were stilling getting some stuff done. Later on, I may just upload a demo version to this forum and you guys can try it out. There are 2 pics of the game in it's current state which are attached. As you can see, there is a lot of work to be done, but we are getting all of the scenery pieces done (the current scenery is all placeholder art by me).
I hope the images help, and maybe if I finish off with the menu system, I can upload it onto the forum.
