Pwediepie and others like him are merely exploite those whom need a friend, for better or for worse, not those whom want to play games themselves at least at the time anyways. Many see celebrities in this light of "Being their friend" however this doesn't create the illusion as well as sitting and watching them play video games. This is not the only reason to watch their videos though, some Youtubers actually review games, heavily on opinion, (games are art btw) which can give game devs one individual's particular insight and perpective on a game. If we were to create games for ourselves only, the fact is they are going to suck in many players eyes exept our own.
