I like your tweaks on it. I noticed you moved the right hand up 1 pixel, thanks I'm not the best at doing arms yet (this is my second sprite, and I know you remember my first :)) Every pixel I see that you've changed is an improvement.
I'm really glad you like it. When I posted it I remembered something I forgot to do. The back wing didn't have any spikes, so I finished that and now the small dragon is finished. This one has your edits of course :)
Would have posted sooner but I've been stuck playing "Nier" all day :D
I really like Redshrike's dragon based on Surt's Ancient dragon. I was inspired by the idea and drew up Surt's Juvenile dragon :)
I used Redshrikes color pallette to try and get the teenage dragon to resemble his grandfather. So if you decide to add him in with his family credits would be Zabin, Surt, Redshrike.
I'm glad you like the Castle Bertram and I can't wait to see you use it in your epic game.
I still need to make about a dozen tiles to finish the Castle. I'll finish it in a week maybe, I just get tired of working on the same thing and need a break from it. Right now there is only 1 tower size. I cheated and stretched the tower by using the same tile on top of itself, thats why it doesn't look perfectly diagonal and bumps around. I was suprised how it all came together and it looks pretty good as is. Heck it might be better bumpy then perfectly diagonal.
No need to beg me Bertram :-) I was planning on organizing everything I used of Hyptosiss art into nicely organized tilesets. While I organize I might recolor things to better fit the style. You know my normal variations/additions. More coming soon-ish.
I also added a lengthy edit to the description explaining why I did this and I also placed both my work and MrBeast's automatic version on grass (the natural environment in game) to show that mine is superior and better resembles the work done by the original artists.
Oh yeah and I added the black back into the hoods since I noticed it didn't look right in that example.
Well my bad I guess.... I thought I was doing people a favor oh well...I didn't know how to do it that automatic method and I guess I did it the long way because it took me probally 2 hours to do this.
Thanks for teaching me the easy way anyway!!
I looked close at yours in Gimp and to be honest I think mine looks more like the original because yours now has an added black outline around the image that wasn't there in the original.
Thanks for the advise, I've only been messing around with doing art like this for a couple months now so I don't know a fraction of the tools used in Gimp. I've never used the magic wand tool before but I'll look into doing what you said when I get around to it. Thanks again for pointing that out :-]
I'm sure you'll notice the resemblence to the Castle in your game especially since I mapped this example using your Castle's design as inspiration. Merry Christmas and happy new year :-]

I think it would be pretty cool to see her in Valyria Tear.
You know what Bertram, I thought about doing this same thing but you beat me to it! I might still do something for the challenge, maybe.
Thanks guys.

Thanks Bonsaiheld, I fixed that.

Thanks you trentg for making Monster RPG2! I got some ideas from your Castle in your game to make this Castle http://opengameart.org/content/castle-final-fantasy-zelda-like

Hey "u" I made a variation of this with a transparent background. http://opengameart.org/content/armor-icons-by-equipment-slot-with-transp...
I did this for my project but I wanted to do it for everybody else too. Merry Christmas!
