Of course there are details if you looked close-up, even a top-down rts might do better with rotating wheels, i mean also sideways, or maybe simulated suspension. (presumably blender can define such things?)
Ey, maybe springRTS is a thing. Unfortunately seem games there have difficulty attracting crowds.
Still, those changes can still be made, great job!
Note that it isnt me not knowing python that is stopping me from using blender, it is me not finding the API conveniently enough, and lack of commandline.
Also: I noticed i should probably also mention it here; adding +UA to the commands in the shellscripts should add an alpha channel. (as also mentioned here)
Well, they should, html has percentage sizes on tables for a reason, and it aint very complicated. 'State of the art' is just not that great.. But i wont ask you to be the one to 'innovate'(i.e. not fuck up) on this. Perhaps you're using some library or 'framework'(ew) and cant easily change it.
Browsers too, i suppose, for instance, try get the firefox current url from the commandline. For all i know you have to fetch the window ID and fake key presses and take it from the copy-paste clip. It is a tricky thing to do but stuff like emacs can do it and for how long has firefox been in development now? In many respects we're in the software stone ages. No-one uses personal databases afaik, i dont see good ones.. All laptops have microphones but voice commands are though to install. People still dont get lisp. Be *able* to manipulate code as data, also in macros, d'oh.
Dont worry about my ranting though, i cant change much shit either. It is a good, and useful website.

These are all pretty excellent.
If i get around to it i should try adding dust(well, scattering medium) and rocks around the povray planets.
If the vines are separate you could move them around a bit, might work nicely in some cases.
Better version of the script here.

Note: the preview rendered happens to not have a shadow in view, but rendered planets may have a shadow.
Lowering the threshhold by packaging more conveniently: Excellent!
