My computer is more then 10 years old does not support the 64 bit version, with out getting purples screen textures, also with some new software having some compatibility problems with the Open GL version 2 and 3 no longer supported.
I build & run it in the 32 bit version, but is just to show working stuff.
Also have a internal graphics which is not very game friendly.
Unity3D is the only engine that work well with such old hardware and allow me to work freely, Torque3D crached all the time, NeoAxis was extremely slow as Unreal 4.
Started with Torque3D because it supports Linux, but now Unity3D can make executables for Linux Ubuntu so there is no need to use Torque3D which have a much limited set of functionality then Unity3D.
The work flow hardly is comparable, but none the less the Torque3D team is putting a great effort to make the Torque3D project alive and in good health.
Maybe in the future can assemble more functionality which make it's work flow more easy for the developers. And who knows maybe we will be exporting the project to Torque3D in the near future?
The forums are full of game designers managers with: 20 years of experience in game play, 5 years in game designing, that are graduated and made their graduation specialization at game designing with a professional gaming company.
Go look in to the dev forums for managers with this kind of profile because you will find hundreds of them in fact their are so many out there, that the forums can't handle so many requests for them, search carefully many will offer the opportunity of your life. I will even be your buddy and put the links so you know where they are:
No portfolio? Well thought luck go try your self to ship game titles like you do with 2D art, 3D models or scripts. Probably in a space of 5 years you will lunch hundreds of titles on your own.
No enough project details? Go spend years in game designing and then post your project mechanics for others to develop your own game. Most be a very refreshing experience.
To large projects? What kind of retard have the knowledge to build a quality product is going to develop a piece of crap?
No enough friendly? Go to your boss and tell them that you only work with them if they become your friend, but not stay only with friendship also try to ask if they want to be your pet. Next day no bother to go work a dispense letter will be on your way.
Life is not fair? Go to the jungle and face lion in your bare hands. You may find the anwser that your are looking for.
Not enough money? Go work on those hobbies projects with no goals that most likely are not going any where because no one have the knowledge to set goals, I'm pretty sure in return for your hard work they promise to be your friends, they will even send you goodnight kisses and hugs.
