I was worried you haven't posted anything in 2023 for so long, very glad you're still around. Thank you: You've made not only some of the best music I've found on OGA in terms of quality, but something truly beautiful and unique in its entirety. I've been planning on making what would be my first original game, don't know if I'll ever get to finish such a big project: I plan on using your songs exclusively for it... they are what inspired the details behind my concept and how I hope it would look, and a driver for me wanting to go through with it.
I like how that looks. I was wondering if you're willing to share a link to your game: It's rare to see a promising furry game of quality, let alone one that's also FOSS friendly!
A heads up: I created a new version of the tilesets, adding new tiles and fixing other issues. The updated versions have been sitting on my drive for a while, and I finally decided to post them here as well. The backgrounds and palettes are the same, but you'll need to download and import the tiles again.
Note that several items have changed. You'll need to manually convert existing maps if you wish to port them to the new versions, as well as the default passability in the graphics menu of OHRRPGCE.
They are Public Domain as I talk with the creator and they've confirmed that explicitly to me. The OHRRPGCE engine is GPL, the game Vikings of Midgard is PD. Even if they were CC-BY, remixes can be relicensed to anything unlike CC-BY-SA, thus I could still release those as PD even in that scenario.
Glad you like them! Updated version are available but I haven't published them here yet.
Thank you, glad you like! You can find most of the original tiles in the game Vikings of Midgard, which is also included with OHRRPGCE master. They're also available on the OHRRPGCE wiki, alongside my modifications which are also mirrored on there... feel free to take a look for comparison: http://rpg.hamsterrepublic.com/ohrrpgce/Free_Tilemaps
