Nice, but texture needs a bit more variance/contrast. The joints, for example, shouldn't be the same color as the panels.. Also, the edges need some definition too.. Post it on the SpringRTS forums and you'll get some good CnC, they make awesome mechs
Well, if someone has mentioned Flash, I'd mention Powerpoint/OpenOffice Presenter }:D You can add sounds + animations there pretty easily too, with 0 programming experience.
Johndh: Are they even opening their code? Maybe they licensed the quake engine they're using, as some -silly- people do
